Android smartwatches are already there but there is some great news for hardcore sports lovers too. Smartwatches are the connected wrist watches and come with a variety of smart features such as customizable watch faces, health monitoring apps, activity tracking, apps, internet connectivity for notifications and much more.
The year 2017 has some of the great gadgets to appear from some of the top tier brands including smartphones, laptops, voice controlled home devices, smartwatches and much more.
Casio WSD F20
Casio WSD F20 upgrades its smartwatches series with more features and stunning rugged look.Casio packs GPS in this making Casio's trekking app more accurate and productive. F20 is fully waterproof and military certified 810G for ruggedness with more G-Shock than LG G smartwatch.
As in previous, F20 features dual layer display, a monochrome LCD and second multi-color for regular function. Surprisingly F20 has whopping 30 days battery life on a single charge making its USP.
Casio WSD F20 will be available in April at $500.
Garmin Fenix 5 Series
Garmin Fenix is famous for their unique sporty features and this time Garmin comes with more advanced features with three designs. The 47mm
Fenix 5 which offers 24 hours in GPS, 42mm Fenix 5S which is for female sports lovers and 51mm Fenix 5X which comes with pre-loaded maps, sapphire lens and has Wi-Fi connectivity.
These watches are all fully waterproof up to 100 meters and also has three-axis compass, gyroscope, and barometric altimeter.
Fenix 5 Series will be available in early 2017 from $500.
New Balance RunIQ
Similar to Casio, New Balance, a Boston sports giant came with pre-announced Digital sports watch a "RunIQ" in collaboration with Intel. Has a great rugged design, made especially for athletes and sports lovers.
RunIQ sports 1.39 Inch AMOLED display, GPS, a heart rate monitor and music player again with Bluetooth connectivity. Its a 5ATM water resistant so can go swimming without fear.
Its pricing is at around $299 and available through New Balance Official site.

Misfit Vapor
Recently owned by Fossil Group, Misfit reveals their first touchscreen smartwatch - the Vapor. Vapor has a great bezel-based control system which allows user browse through watch faces, apps and go through notifications. It sports 1.39 Inch Circular OLED display with 326ppi density. Smartly, Vapor display doesn't show an annoying black tyre effect at bottom of the screen which is commonly seen in most of the smartwatches. Vapor sports latest Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, so it's quite fast.
It will arrive in 2017 late for sale at around $199.
AX Connected
Another great smartwatch from well-known brand Armani Exchange. AX Connected is their first hybrid smartwatch which will come in four color flavors - white, black, blue and orange.
AX can smartly count your steps, track sleep and provide smartphone notifications. AX face dial shows a great progress gauge which shows daily activity goals. It can take selfies and can control music playback from its paired smartphone.
Available in February, AX pricing is yet to be announced.
